First Black Professional in the U.S. Space Program
Inducted to the Hall of Fame in 2019
Before the Civil Rights Act made equal employment opportunity the law, Julius was making history in 1956 as the first black professional in the U.S. space program. It seems only natural that he would go on to integrate jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø just a few years later.
Montgomery was featured in jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø’s 60thAnniversary special edition book, “60 for 60: Celebrating Sixty Years of Alumni at jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø.”
