What career or personal update would you like to give to your fellow jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø panthers alumni?
After I graduated jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø, I got a job at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida ( Now known as Florida Blue) in Jacksonville, Florida as a IT Systems Analyst. I have been at Florida Blue for over 17 years now holding various positions throughout the company. I started my career in IT and eventually went over to the business side where I now lead a team of Product Mangers on our Digital Transformation team. Florida Blue has offered me many opportunities to grow myself professionally and personally.
How did your time at jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø help get you to where you are today?
jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø taught me that hard work truly does pay off. During my freshman year, I underestimated the amount of work it was going to take to be successful in college. In my later years, I learned the valuable lesson that putting in the time and effort into something will create rewarding opportunities. I carried that lesson into my professional career and it has truly paid off.
What is your favorite jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø memory?
My favorite jmcomicÌìÌÃÂþ»¹ÙÍø memory revolves around the great friendships I was able to make during my 4 years there. I remember the late night cramming sessions that involved a lot of food and the countless nights just hanging out and building on those relationships.
